I am originally from Charleston, SC, but I recently married an Arkansan and moved to Little Rock.  I have a BS in Biology from Anderson College in Anderson, SC, and I received my Masters in Public Health at Florida International University in Miami, Florida.

I don't have a lot of work experience yet, but my volunteer experience list keeps growing.  I really enjoyed volunteering with Planned Parenthood while living in Philadelphia last year, and I would love to find a job in reproductive health education.  I am very interested in working internationally, and I hope to someday take a position in a developing country.

I learned about the Ride several months ago through an email from APHA.  I immediately began emailing a few of the Directors to learn more.  I won't be cycling the whole ride across the country with the other brave souls this summer, but I will be supporting them along the way.

I opted to cycle across a much smaller country last summer on my honeymoon in Denmark, which is a little less than twice the size of Massachusetts!  I am very honored to be working with this amazing organization which blends many of my interests: cycling, health education, and global health.
