The Ohio State University Medical Center
Andrew Wagner is a Co-founder of Ride for World Health and as the initial CEO, led the effort to build the organization from the ground up. Andy is currently a PGY2 Emergency Medicine resident at The Ohio State University Medical Center.
Prior to medical school, Andy spent a semester abroad in Tanzania with The School for International Training. Shortly after graduating from Bates College, Andy headed west to San Francisco where he was one of the original employees of ADPM, an outsourced business-to-business procurement company. After a three-year crash course in starting a business, Andy harnessed his entrepreneurial experience while attending The Ohio State University to create an avenue for global health activism for medical students and other health professionals; hence, Ride for World Health was born.
Andy looks forward to the challenges of taking Ride for World Health to the next level.
“After proving the concept and showing Ride for World Health has real traction with medical students, the new challenges involve expanding the scope of the organization: refining our educational curriculum, raising our fundraising goals, and perhaps creating (not just funding) sustainable healthcare solutions abroad."
