Andrew Suchocki

R4WH Co-Founder, Advisor
Cincinnati, OH
University of Cincinnati

Andrew Suchocki serves on the Board of Directors and is an advisor to the 2008 leadership team.  He is currently a second year resident at the University of Cincinnati/Christ Hospital Family Medicine residency program and is involved in research as a part of UC’s international health tract.

Andrew is a co-founder of Ride For World Health and has been involved the moment his old roommate Andy Wagner suggested it back in the fall of 2004.  He was a member of the 2006 leadership team and served as the inaugural ride's logistics chair.   While serving in his multiple positions, he was intimately involved in creating the basic framework of the ride and how it operates.

Prior to attending medical school at Ohio State, Andrew traveled Africa and was also able to work on grassroots policy reform in rural western Kenya.  Once at Ohio State, he created a collaborative between OSU, the UN Development Program, and the Swaziland HIV/AIDS council.  Fourteen students were involved in a broad-based internship program for 8 weeks.

His current research projects include population based surveys in rural Honduras and a comprehensive national medical student survey on international health.  His future plans include a fellowship in public health and preventive medicine after he completes his family medicine residency. Andrew is an active road cyclist and races locally around southern and central Ohio.
