I am a fourth year medical student at Tufts, and I'm planning on going into Orthopedic Surgery.  I'm originally from New Jersey, went to Amherst College, and took two years off before med school to work as a financial analyst at an investment bank in New York.  Other than that, I currently live in Brookline, love to run and cycle, and I am definitely looking forward to the mayhem that is about to hit Boston as the Red Sox make their way towards the World Series again!

As for why I'm interested in R4WH, cycling has always been one of my favorite activities.  I grew up bike riding with my dad,  so the activity has a lot of sentimental value too.  He and I have tried out a few one day races over the years and have always had a great time, so I'm really excited to step it up a few notches and challenge myself with a cross country ride.

I've also always loved teaching, and teaching in medicine holds another special place in my heart.  Let's face it, no one ever shows doctors how to teach, which can be pretty obvious during some of our lectures, so it will be great spending some time focusing on how to best educate people about healthcare.

I'm very excited to get the chance to collaborate with a group of my classmates from across the country and hopefully pick up some new ideas.  Other than that, there is always the added bonus of great legs and a perky butt that comes with cycling every day for two months!  Looking forward to getting started in April!
