Raised in Beavercreek, Ohio by first generation Indian immigrant parents, Anuj developed a love for sports at a very young age. Throughout childhood, Anuj played a variety of sports from soccer to baseball to wrestling. In the summer of 2004, Anuj instantly developed the love for cycling after his uncle took him on several long rides in and around NYC. Since then, he has spent much of his free time on the bike.
Aside from cycling, Anuj spends much of his time as a fourth-year medical student at Ohio State University, where he also earned his undergraduate degree. After medical school, Anuj plans on continuing his training in Internal Medicine with hopes of volunteering for MSF and other international medical organizations in the future.
Anuj has been looking forward to this ride since he first heard about it in 2006. He is most looking forward to cycling with new friends and the opportunity to educate people across the country.
