Route Description: We will depart from north Las Vegas and head North for most of the day. It will be a hard day with a lot of climbing. Around mile 75 we enter into Pahranagat National Wildlife Refuge.

The first climb basically starts out from the get-go and lasts about 26 miles with an elevation gain of about 2000 ft and a grade that does not exceed 3.5%. The second climb (starting ~mile 35) is short lasting only about 5 miles with an elevation gain of about 800 ft, however the grade will be a steeper mostly being between 3 - 4% but peaking at 6.6%. The last big climb of the day (starting ~mile 54) lasts about 11 miles with an elevation gain over 1000 ft and a grade that is generally less than 3%.
